One look at the Dos Armadillos display and it’s clear that this is a brand that connects closely with the tradition of Mexico. With stunning signature hand-painted bottles depicting two armadillos coming together to form a circle, the bottle, we are told, represents the balance of light and dark in the world. “We have a lot of secrets to the brand” admits Ana Paula Pelayo, Marketing Director for International Premium Spirits.. She adds, “But it is also very traditional, because with mystery, there is a lot of energy and connections to the culture and the land”.

The NRA Show has brought together the best and brightest in the restaurant, foodservice and hospitality industry for four days of discovery, sourcing, networking and entertainment. Dos Armadillos Tequila was right in the mix of things gathering a large crowd to their booth. Feedback was absolutely positive for all variations of the tequila. Thank you all that visited with us!

I had an early start today with working a few things for some clients. When the afternoon came around I headed out to take a few pictures for my new tequila company that was having a launch party today. The food and drinks were great and it was nice getting to run into a few friends while I was out.

The San Francisco World Spirits Competition is the first comprehensive, international spirits judging ever held in the United States on an annual basis. Judging was based on a blind, consensual procedure ensuring competitive integrity, making this annual competition the most reputable and recognized competition in the spirits industry.

• I found a great story that is told by some craftsmen of the archaeological zone close to Tequila: Teuchitlan, Jalisco. Based on this story, was created a product full of tradition and history, designed to the delight of new generations.
• Piedra y Barro (Stone and Clay), two elements of the earth which are part of our culture. Both emerge slowly, gradually unveiling the greatness of a forgotten civilization… the remains of ancient tombs and ceremonial centers: an enigmatic city under the grounds of Jalisco, Mexico, which finally reveals the mystery of the Ancient Gods.
• The archeological site of Guachimontones, at Teuchitlán, Jalisco, once was an ancient city that gave us the tradition of the agave, the plant used for the production of the famous mexican Tequila. The city’s greatness was portrayed in pottery and artifacts of magnificent beauty. This delicate bottle of Tequila Dos Armadillos, from the Piedra y Barro collection, was inspired on such pottery pieces, dating back over 1,000 years.
• We wanted to pay tribute to the Gods, to mankind, to nature, and all living things, which lived in harmony for more than a millennium. Therefore, we created the perfect bottle to host an Ultra-Premium Tequila, made 100% of Blue Agave, today, we want to share with the world.
• This Tequila is a true jewel digged out from the past.
